A Broadway Classic hits Georgia Southern University’s Black box Theatre
GEORGIA SOUTHERN’S CENTER FOR ART & THEATRE PRESENTS
“WONDER OF THE WORLD” TO THE STATESBORO COMMUNITY
Georgia Southern’s Center for Art & Theatre announces the release of a scandalous Broadway classic for the surrounding community. “Wonder of the World” originally starred Sarah Jessica Parker when it was produced off-Broadway in 2001 but will now be brought back to life through the theatre students at Georgia Southern University. The Center for Art & Theatre has promised its audiences adventurous excitement each night the play is shown. The play opens Wednesday, June 1st and runs through Friday, June 3rd.
As it will be the first time “Wonder of the World” has hit the Black Box, located on GSU’s campus, each showing will be a night to remember. This wacky comedy stars a young housewife on a journey of self discovery after her marriage breaks up. Her journey leads her across the states as she pieces herself back together. The Adult Themes and Strong Language make her adventure a tantalizing story that will not be forgotten.
